As a public relations and marketing communications specialist this question really usually carries some weight for my clients ‘why organizations use the same communications and marketing strategies and others thrive than others don’t’.

Well to kick start this conversation Simon Sinek on start with why provides an in-depth information about that and I tend absolutely agree with the author on this. According to him organizations should communicate their purpose, their belief and their cause of existence to their stakeholders. Why is that?

The stakeholders who believe in your purpose tend to be drawn to you especially when they believe that your vision is serves a higher purpose. The stakeholders who believe in your cause whether internal or external stakeholders will work bring work to bring your cause to life.

For communication to have real impact to affect behavior and seed loyalty it needs more than publicity it needs to publicize some higher purpose to which those with similar values and beliefs can relate only then can the message create any lasting mass market success.

Organizations with a clearly defined purpose or vision thrives in the business world e.g., brands like Apple. Knowing and communicating your purpose is not the only way to succeed but it is the only way to maintain a lasting success and have a greater blend of innovation and flexibility.

When your purpose is vague it becomes extremely difficult to maintain the growth, loyalty, and inspiration that helped drive the organization's success. Public relations exist to help an organization publicize its purpose and tell your story to your audiences.
